C-Ir (Carbon-Iridium) Editor [67Bur] and [69Bur] estimated the solubility of C in liquid Ir assuming systematic changes with atomic number in the interaction between elements. The solid solubility of C in (Ir) was calculated based on a subregular-solution model [69Bur]. The L = (Ir) + (C) eutectic temperature is 2296 C [60Nad].
