Ga-Sr

Ga-Sr (Gallium-Strontium) V.P. Itkin and C.B. Alcock The assessed phase diagram for the Ga-Sr system is essentially the same as that of [Moffatt] and is based on [66Bru]. The melting temperature of bSr is 769 C, and the bSr = aSr allotropic transformation temperature is 547 C. These values differ from those of [66Bru], who gave 773 and 610 C, respectively. The solubilities of Sr and Ga in the terminal solid solutions are assumed to be very small. Three compounds were found by [66Bru]: Ga2Sr, which melts congruently, and Ga4Sr and Ga2Sr3, which are formed by peritectic reactions. [76For] and [83For] showed that the correct formula of Ga2Sr3 is Ga7Sr8. [66Bru] found that Ga2Sr has a homogeneity range from 30 to 33.3 at.% Sr after annealing at 900 C and from 32.2 to 33.3 at.% Sr after annealing at 500 to 300 C. 55Ian: A. Iandelli, Atti Accad. Naz.
