H-Yb (Hydrogen-Ytterbium) Editor The assessed Yb-H phase diagram has been estimated from the equilibrium hydrogen dissociation pressure measurements of [67Mes] in the composition range 0 to 64.5 at.% H and in the temperature range 600 to 750 C. Two hydrides have been reported: YbH2, in two allotropic forms, and YbH3. The b/a transformation temperature of YbH2 is 125 C [68Mes]. Crystal structure data of the equilibrium phases are from [56Kor] for aYbH2 and from [66War] for bYbH2 and YbH3. Metastable CaF2-type b›YbH2 was obtained by [68Mes] by heating aYbH2 to between ~225 and 250 C and cooling to room temperature.
