Ir-Tb (Iridium-Terbium) H. Okamoto The Ir-Tb phase diagram was drawn by [Moffatt] based on the Ir-Tb intermetallic compounds reported by [89Bla] and on a presumed similarity to other Ir-RE systems. In addition to the terminal phases, fcc (Ir), bcc (bTb), and cph (aTb), the following intermetallic compounds are known to exist: (1) Cu2Mg-type Ir2Tb [59Boz]; (2) tetragonal Ir2Tb3 [80Ler1]; (3) Mn5Si3-type hexagonal bIr3Tb5 [82Ler]; (4) low-temperature Pu5Rh3-type, tetragonal aIr3Tb5 [80Ler1]; (5) monoclinic Ir2Tb5 [80Ler1]; and (6) Fe3C-type IrTb3 [79Ler]. The polymorphic transformation temperature of Ir3Tb5 is unknown. The ferromagnetic Curie temperature of Ir2Tb is 45 K [59Boz]. 59Boz: R.M. Bozorth, B.T. Matthias, H. Suhl, E. Corenzwit, and D.D.
