La-Nd (Lanthanum-Neodymium) K.A. Gschneidner, Jr. and F.W. Calderwood The assessed phase diagram for the La-Nd system is based primarily on the work of [61Gsc]. The melting points of the pure metals and the transformation temperatures have been adjusted slightly to conform to [Gschneidner]. Because the two-phase field is so narrow, it has been drawn as a straight line. [61Gsc] also reported that the (gLa,bNd) solid solution decomposes eutectoidally at ~825 C, with (bLa) forming a closed field and (aLa) and (aNd) forming a complete solid solution below 310 C. 61Gsc: K.A.
