Mg-Sm (Magnesium-Samarium) Editor [89Sac] determined the Mg-Sm phase diagram based on cooling and heating curves. Because of the sharpness of thermal effects, [89Sac] preferred the cooling curve data shown in the assessed diagram. Invariant temperatures based on heating curves are generally up to 20 C higher.
