Ga-Ni

Ga-Ni (Gallium-Nickel) S.Y. Lee and P. Nash The assessed Ni-Ga diagram is based primarily on the data of [50Hel], [57Pea], and [79Fes]. Originally, six intermediate phases-b, d, g, g›, b›, and e-were reported by [50Hel]. a› and Ni3Ga4 were reported by [57Pea] and [69Ell], respectively. [50Hel] reported the maximum solubility of Ga in (Ni) to be about 28 at.% at 1211 C on the basis of powder X-ray measurements. However, detailed studies by [57Pea] with X-ray, thermal analysis, and metallography showed the maximum solubility to be 24.3 at.% Ga at 1212 C. [79Fes] confirmed the results of [ 57Pea] with microprobe analysis of samples annealed for 4 h to 1 month. No data on the solubility of Ni in (Ga) are available. 50Hel: E. Hellner, Z.
