Li-Nb (Lithium-Niobium) J.F. Smith and K.J. Lee Only limited data are available concerning the Li-Nb phase diagram. Most work concerns determination of the solubility of solid Nb in liquid Li, and wide scatter of results and contamination preclude quantitative analysis. Empiricism [69Sav] and theory [80Deb, 83Nie], however, indicate extensive immiscibility in both the liquid and solid states. The assessed phase diagram was based on the data of [Hultgren,E] and [83Cha] and represents the Li-Nb system at a constant pressure of 1 atm. 69Sav: E.M. Savitskii and Yu.V.
