Ba-Ca

Ba-Ca (Barium-Calcium) C.B. Alcock and V.P. Itkin The equilibrium phases of the Ca-Ba system are (1) the liquid, L; (2) the fcc solid solution, (aCa); and (3) the bcc continuous solid solution, (bCa, Ba). The assessed phase diagram is based on review of the work of [41Kle], [49She], and [61Pet]. [41Kle] reported that alloys with less than 32 at.% Ba had the fcc structure, and those with more than 36 at.% Ba had the bcc structure. They suggested that a two-phase region might be between 30 and 40 at.% Ba. The uncertainty in the positions of the boundaries is shown by dashed lines and is about с30 C. The uncertainty in the position of the solidus is about с10 C. 41Kle: W. Klemm and G. Mika, Z. Anorg. Allg. Chem., 248 115-166 (1941) in German. 49She: E.A.
