Be-Na

Be-Na (Beryllium-Sodium) A.D. Pelton The assessed Na-Be phase diagram is based on the work of [67Kle]. Solubilities of the order of 0.5 to 3 at.% were measured at 300 to 900 C. No evidence of intermetallic phases was observed in X-ray studies. Solubilities in the solid state are, in all probability, very small in this system. Although, as pointed out by [67Kle], it is possible that the liquidus becomes very flat above 900 C (so that at the melting point of Be, the liquid phase is completely miscible at all compositions), this seems very unlikely. 67Kle: W.
