Cr-Th (Chromium-Thorium) M. Venkatraman, J.P. Neumann, and D.E. Peterson The assessed Cr-Th phase diagram is based on the X-ray diffraction and thermal analysis studies of [46Wil]. Cr and Th form a simple eutectic phase diagram; the eutectic point lies at approximately 75 at.% Th and 1236 C. The mutual solid solubilities are very small; no intermediate phases are present. Temperatures given in the present diagram are in accord with IPTS-68. The nature of the invariant three-phase equilibrium at ~1362 C between L, ( aTh), and (bTh) is not known.
