K-Ta (Potassium-Tantalum) S.P. Garg, M. Venkatraman, and N. Krishnamurthy A comprehensive investigation of the binary Ta-K system has not been reported. The Ta-K phase diagram presented here is speculative. An assessment of the solubility of transition metals including Ta in liquid K was made by [66Gin] and [67Ant]. The invariant temperatures for the three-phase equilibria (Ta) + ( K) + (liquid K) and (Ta) + (liquid K) + (K vapor) shown in the assessed diagram are based on the phase transformation temperatures of pure K.
