Th-U (Thorium-Uranium) D.E. Peterson The assessed Th-U phase diagram is based primarily on the work of [50Car], [ 58Ben], [58Mur], [60Blu], and [61Chi]. The maximum solubility in (Th) is 6.8 at.% U at 1270 C. The solubility of Th in (aU) has been reported as 0.30 at.% at 900 C and 0.05 at.% at 700 C. A miscibility gap extends from 51 to 94 at.% U according to [58Mur], who determined the eutectic point to be 1100 с 4 C and 96 at.% U. A monotectic temperature of 1375 C [50Car] and critical temperature of 1650 C are also accepted in the assessed phase diagram. 50Car: O.N. Carlson, U.S. At. Energy Comm. Rep.
